Custodiex was founded in 2019 to create a high security custody platform for crypto assets like Bitcoin and ETH. In 2025 Q2 we received a strategic investment from and entered a close partnership with Amdax, an Amsterdam based crypto service provider.
Custodiex is based in Manchester, with a development hub in Budapest. We mainly work from home, attending the office for work and social events as we see fit.
Job spec
This is a full-time opportunity to join Custodiex as a Java Software Developer. This is a programming position within the Budapest Dev Team. We follow the agile approach, which means you will be working on software design, development, documentation, testing, deployment and support; so you will need to have an "own what you build" mindset. Your daily tasks will mostly involve Java and be closely related to blockchain cryptographic processes and key management. Depending on your experience and interests, you may have the opportunity to use other programming languages and technologies like Python, Rust, C, and AWS.
You will also be expected to conduct code reviews, and contribute to the improvement of our existing software development lifecycle processes.
You will be required to travel for work from time to time to Manchester or Amsterdam.
Qualifications
Mandatory: BSc/MSc Computer Science or equivalent
Desirable: Information Security qualification / certification
Experience
2+ years in a Software Development role
