What you will do. A glimpse in your role:

At the heart of the Data & Analytics Team, we empower internal and external stakeholders by developing and maintaining the central Data domain. We are now looking for an innovative and skilled AI Application Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered applications and intelligent solutions that tackle real-world business challenges. Youll combine software engineering, machine learning, and data analysis to build scalable, impactful technologies that drive smarter decisions and enhanced user experiences.

Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to strategic AI initiatives, and bring cutting-edge models and architectures into productionhelping shape the future of AI within our organization.

Technical Expertise

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in AI/ML application development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and core data science libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.
• Experience working with deep learning frameworks, including TensorFlow and/or PyTorch.
• Solid knowledge of cloud computing platforms like Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for model development and deployment.
• Familiarity with data pipelines and data engineering principles.
• Proficient in modern software development practices, including debugging, unit/integration/behavioral testing, version control (Git), and ALM tools like JIRA.

AI & Machine Learning Concepts

• Deep understanding of core machine learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering).
• Practical knowledge of neural network architectures, including CNNs and RNNs.
• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision techniques.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to analyze complex data and develop tailored AI solutions.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Adaptability to stay on top of the rapidly evolving AI landscape.

• Experience working in Agile environments, contributing to iterative and collaborative development cycles.

• Performing exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover patterns and generate insights that inform model development.

System Integration

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate AI solutions into existing software architectures.
• Optimizing AI applications for performance, scalability, and reliability in production environments.

Prototyping & Deployment

• Building functional prototypes to showcase AI capabilities and potential use cases.
• Deploying AI solutions to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP) or on-premises systems, ensuring operational readiness.

Collaboration & Communication

• Working closely with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to align AI initiatives with strategic goals.
• Clearly communicating technical findings and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Research & Development

• Keeping pace with the latest AI and machine learning research and incorporating relevant advances into your work.
• Exploring and experimenting with cutting-edge techniques and tools to continuously improve system capabilities.

Testing & Maintenance

• Creating and executing robust testing protocols to validate AI model performance.
• Monitoring deployed applications, addressing issues, and iterating on functionality to ensure long-term system health.
