The Role
Our client is a leader in modern governance, providing SaaS solutions for governance, risk, compliance, audit, and ESG to over 1 million users and 25,000 customers worldwide. Their secure cloud-based applications and insights help organizations make better, more informed decisions to create impact and navigate todays complex business landscape. We are looking for Senior Python Developers to join a data migration project transitioning from a legacy PHP/Python application to a modern Python-based system within an AWS environment. The project involves secure and efficient data storage, CI/CD automation, and performance optimization. It is technically complex, requiring deep expertise in data pipelines, cloud integration, and troubleshooting distributed systems. You will be part of a cross-functional team including back-end developers, DevOps/cloud engineers, QA, and a project manager.
What you will do
- Porting data processing logic from PHP/Python to a new Python app.
- Building and maintaining secure AWS-based data storage solutions (S3, RDS/PostgreSQL).
- Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshooting and streamlining workflows for performance and stability.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver features.
Requirements
- Proven Python expertise (data processing with Pandas/Polars or similar).
- Solid hands-on experience in AWS (S3, RDS, Lambda/private cloud functions).
- CI/CD pipeline experience (CodeBuild, CodeDeploy).
- SQL and data modeling expertise.
- Strong problem-solving and effective communication skills.
- Hybrid/remote setup, with possible onsite presence in Hungary.
Nice To Have Skills
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and distributed systems.
