Job Description
What we are specifically looking for as a goal with this position:
- To be part of our development team working on a software product in area of Continuous Deployment (CD). The aim is to provide our customers a real automated continuous deployment solution.
- We create a product designed to support automated deployment and testing of software applications (Nokia network elements) to our customers premises.
- By joining us you will take part in the software development of this CD product designed by reusing the modern open-source components available on the market, integrating them and completing with our own code with the goal of productization.
As a Junior Software Engineer your job is to:
- Implement & maintain the software product by integrating already existing open-source or Nokia internal components plus developing new components to reach the aimed functionalities.
- Be involved in all phases of a development lifecycle: understand and analyze product requirements; develop new software code; and finally take part in testing and verification.
- Participate in the teamwork following Agile/Scrum practices: You will estimate work amounts in own area, participate in detail work plannings and develop the tasks as a result of these.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and environments
- Daily cooperation with other Nokia teams worldwide
Required Skills:
The ideal candidate should be in possession of most of the following technical skills:
- Education: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science / Engineering or related fields.
- Linux configuration and scripting skills with the ability to run/configure applications on Linux
- Experience in Go and/or Python languages
- Understanding and some hands-on knowledge of container technologies (K8S, Docker, HELM)
Knowledge of Jenkins based CI/CD environment
